TRAUMA HEALING FOR EVERYONE
Medical personnel in health care settings are often subjected to both primary and secondary trauma. This may appear in the form of an unexpected death of a patient or, as in my case, the death of a child in the ER. Assault, whether physical or verbal, may also be a part of your experience in either the hospital or clinical setting. Often trauma appears as cumulative stress while on the job, coming from a series of events most difficult to cope with over a period of months and even years. Identifying your trauma, regardless of the kind, is addressed in Medical Trauma Reboot.
Medical Trauma Reboot is a twelve-week, faith-based, group course for medical personnel only, who together want to work on their recovery from trauma. We will cover such topics as “Breaking My Default Response to Trauma,” “Finding Safety,” “Restoring My Identity,” “Finding Stability,” and more. Support is key in the healing process.
Join Jeannie and Tim on Wednesdays. We meet at Cityview Bible Church, Round Rock, in Room 209 from 6:30-8:15 p.m. Childcare is provided.
