Boot Camp 2019 _ Students

Boot Camp is a week-long mission trip to Houston (June 9-14) where our students get to learn and exercise the skills needed to serve during Rock the Rock (June 24-28), a week of community outreach via service, street evangelism, and Gospel-centered kids’ clubs in Round Rock. Below is the information for both events. Your student may register for Boot Camp, Rock the Rock.

Boot Camp & Rock the Rock: Completed 6th-12th grade students
When
Boot Camp: June 9-14, (Students will leave straight from church after second service on Sunday the 9th)
Rock the Rock: June 24-28, Evenings
Where
Boot Camp: Living Word Fellowship/Living Word Academy, Houston, TX
Rock the Rock: Cityview Bible Church and surrounding neighborhoods, Round Rock, TX
What:
Boot Camp & Rock the Rock: Students will have the opportunity to serve on one of three teams: Kids Club Team, Service Team or Street Team.
Description of the Teams:
Service Team – Participate in service projects in and around the community while looking for opportunities to share the gospel as the motivation for service.
Evangelism “Street” Team – Participate in face to face evangelism (asking questions, starting conversations, and sharing the gospel) in and around the community.
Kids Club Team – Lead programming for kids in the community to share the gospel through stories, songs, crafts, and games.
Why
Boot Camp & Rock the Rock: To point people to Jesus through service, evangelism, and love for the community we are in.
Cost
Boot Camp: $200 per student (Scholarship opportunities are available)
The cost of Boot Camp includes lodging and meals for the entire week, vans for transportation, ministry supplies, t-shirt, a pastoral speaker, a worship leader, as well as free time and fun activities throughout the week.
Rock the Rock: $50 per student
The cost of Rock the Rock includes vans for transportation, dinner each night, supplies for their afternoon host homes, and one night of ice cream treats as a “thank you!” for all of their hard work.
