Who is
Jesus?
We’re all at different points in our journey. Know that you are not in this alone. As a church, we’re here to help and serve you.

About Jesus
Maybe you’re ready to start following Jesus right here and now, or maybe you’re just looking to learn more.
Wherever you are in your journey, this page is meant to help you understand several life-changing steps that you need to take in order to follow Jesus.

Some Simple Truths
God loves and desires a relationship with you.
But sin has created a barrier between us and God. The Bible says the result of sin is death, spiritual separation from God (Romans 6:23).
God wants you to experience the fullness of His promises in your life and spend eternity with Him.
That’s why He sent His only son Jesus to earth. Jesus died in on the cross to take the punishment for our sin. Then He rose again, providing a way for us to be forgiven and reunited with God. (John 3:16)
We can’t earn this forgiveness and salvation.
It is a free gift from God when we have faith in Jesus. All you have to do is acknowledge you have sinned, believe Jesus died for you and rose again, and choose to receive His forgiveness and commit your life to Him. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
From the moment we begin a relationship with Jesus on, He is with us.
God wants to have a relationship with us, and He’s given us ways to know Him better. Here are some next steps you can take today to help you grow and engage in this new relationship. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Next Steps
You can take these next steps today to help you grow and engage in this new relationship.
Read the Bible
That’s why He sent His only son Jesus to earth. Jesus died in on the cross to take the punishment for our sin. Then He rose again, providing a way for us to be forgiven and reunited with God.
The Bible is God’s Word and His instruction manual for how we can live our best life. It is the central source of authority for a follower of Jesus. Begin reading the Bible every day. A great place to start is the book of John in the New Testament.
Pray
Prayer is simply talking to God. You can and should talk to God anytime and anywhere, whenever you need his help or want to tell him something. You don’t need to be anywhere specific or say anything in a specific way—he’s always listening. But having a focused time of prayer is also helpful.
Attend a Church
This will help you grow in your new life in Christ as you learn from the teaching of God’s Word and are encouraged together with other believers. If you don’t have a church we would love to see you at Cityview!
Get Baptized
If you have made the personal decision to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior and have not yet made that public declaration, we invite you to be baptized. Baptism is a significant part of your spiritual walk, as you’re publicly marking your eternal relationship with Jesus—a decision we’d love to celebrate with you.
If you’re interested in getting baptized, we would love for you to reach out to us soon!
