Spencer grew up in San Antonio and trusted Christ while in high school. He was introduced to Jesus by his mother, after she became a believer through her involvement in Bible Study Fellowship.
He moved to Austin for school and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas. He has worked in the semiconductor industry at Applied Materials for the past 30 years.
He met Teresa, his wife of 25 years in Austin while they were both early in their careers. They have been blessed with two children, Seth and Kailey. The Carson family started attending Cityview in 2009 and have served in various ministries over that time period.
Spencer has led bible studies, life groups, served as a deacon, elder, and for the last few years in children’s ministry. Spencer enjoys spending time with his family, sports, reading, and the outdoors.
Chris grew up a Buckeye from Ohio and moved to Tennessee with his family when he was 15. He graduated from Tennessee Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and began his work career in Nashville. On January 1, 1996, Chris gave his life to the Lord and was baptized at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church on Easter Sunday of that year.
Chris started working for Dell Technologies in 1999 and moved to Round Rock in 2011 to continue his career. Chris and family joined Cityview (formerly Hill Country Bible Church – Round Rock) in 2012. Chris has enjoyed serving in many areas over the years including Kids Life, Youth Leader, Rock the Rock, and DivorceCare. Chris has been blessed with his children – Shaye, Skylar, and Garrett and a son-in-law Jack Lowry (Skylar).
In 2022, Chris met his wife, Sue, in the Cityview Singles group and they were married in October 2023. They now have together a total of 6 children in their big, beautiful, blended family with the addition of Sue’s boys – Ethan and Dillon. Chris enjoys golf, his dogs, traveling, and spending time with his family.
